Microsoft checks and signs the package, so Windows installs it without a SmartScreen warning, and the Store keeps it up to date. If the Store app is not available on your PC, the installer is a small setup file from Microsoft that installs the same Store version.

Install from a terminal

chmod +x Markdific_*.AppImage && ./Markdific_*.AppImage

The AppImage runs without installing anything but needs FUSE 2. On Ubuntu 22.04 install it with sudo apt install libfuse2 (on Ubuntu 24.04 the package is libfuse2t64). More: Markdown editor for Linux.

After you install

Open a .md fileDouble-click any .md file, or drag it onto the Markdific window. Reading files is free.
