These terms govern your use of Markdific and the markdific.com website. Markdific is owned and operated by Zantific Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Markdific, you agree to these terms.
The software
Markdific is a desktop application for viewing, editing, and exporting markdown files on macOS and Windows. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Markdific in line with these terms.
Free trial and licence
Every new install includes a 14-day free trial with access to all features. After the trial, Markdific continues to work as a free markdown viewer. Editing, saving, and export features require a one-time purchase.
A premium purchase grants you a perpetual licence to the version you bought, activatable on up to three of your own devices. The licence is for your use and may not be resold, sublicensed, or shared.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of Markdific, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the software or your licence key.
- Circumvent or interfere with the licence activation or trial system.
- Use Markdific for any unlawful purpose.
Your files and content
Markdific works with files on your own device. You keep all rights to the files you open, edit, and create. We do not claim any ownership of your content, and we do not access the contents of your files.
Payments
Purchases are processed by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record. Pricing is shown at checkout. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
Updates
We may release updates that fix issues or add features. Some updates are included with your purchased version. Significant future versions may be offered as a separate purchase.
Disclaimer of warranties
Markdific is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zantific Pte. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use Markdific. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your files.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the date it took effect. Continued use of Markdific after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute relating to these terms or to Markdific will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
